Alone

I feel you, same here. How about starting a bucket list so you can kick it real hard when you're done. No regrets that way, and you probably won't even kick it anyway?

This^

I can't remember the last time I had any alone time. The only time I'm alone at the moment is the 3 to 4 minutes I walk between home and work every day ( a few times a day), and most of the time I run into people who want to talk.
I also don't get much alone time but had to go shopping by myself this past weekend. Driving with the windows down, cool breeze, old school number - it was the finest alone time ever.

I've decided to take some of the advice on this thread, sort of. Instead of complaining that I never get alone time I just informed my family that I'm going to the cinema tonight to watch a movie on my own. I'll leave an hour early, have a beer at CG mall and then watch Tuner.

I don't know how your family situation is, but i feel fortunate that I really enjoy time with my girlfriend and son. We always go everywhere together, and i also do fun things like playing Fortnite with my son. I totally get how in a bigger family, you'd end up craving some alone time ... but for my family, I think we'd feel hurt if one member didn't want to spend time with the rest.

Oh, I love spending time with my family, it's just that I haven't spend anything more than a few minutes by myself in months, so I just need a little bit of that.

Wish I could pull a Thanos and just warp into another world for a couple of hours.

Almost all my friends that I've made after school comes from clubs.

Running club, shooting clubs, cycling, canoeing, hiking..

You meet a better type of person there, and you already have something in common by default.

I'd highly recommend you join a local running club. Especially if you aren't athletic. It's cheap, runners tend to be social, there will be beers after the weekly time trial were everyone chats, and the exercise will get you out of your head plus the endorphins will lift your mood big time. You just show up at the weekly run. Then walk/jog a bit, and have some beer afterwards.

You don't have to be a good athlete, or even a runner at all. Everyone starts somewhere, mostly with just walking in the beginning, then progressing from there. There will also be weekends away to events that normally turn into a jol.

I ended up not going. Had a small electrical fire at work, right at the time both me and my assistant was out. So had to handle the aftermath of that. I'll maybe go tomorrow.
