Is one able to install your own Android OS on this?

I think with them going out of business, you may be able to pick up one for R1,000 or so ; and it seems may be decent hardware to run an Android media player, decent remote, HDMI in/out, LAN port.

Must be good for something?

Well the 3G and wifi is all plug in USB units.. So if you can buy one for R1000 you could probably sell those and break even.

According to the publicity at launch, they already have android on them, in a virtual machine. The HDMI in is only a switch, I think, though, not a digitiser, which is a pity for some purposes ;-)

I'd be interested in one at a low price, for sure ;-)
