Hi guys,

While browsing netvigator's site, I came accross this:

http://www.navini.com/pages/products/cpe.htm

Anyone know how we can get hold of one of these modems? They may be a cheaper option than IPFreely's ripoff prices.

There's nothing clear about Ripwave anywhere on their website except that they use TDD and CDMA. UMTS isn't mentioned anywhere though.

I'm guessing this kit isn't IPW compatible. I think netvigator UK might be trialling 2 kinds of KIT. The Ripwave stuff seems ripwave proprietary.

Yep, seems like yet another proprietary ding-fang, using S-CDMA, which is slightly different from IPW's signalling.

Anybody know if the IP Wireless pmcia modem could work on mywireless, radio freq. etc. seem to match current modem ?

Er, that is the exact PCMCIA modem being sold by Sentech for MyWireless here cyklon. However the PCMCIA modem poses no tangible benefits above the normal USB/Ethernet modem, in fact it just limits you to PCMCIA only, or maybe handhelds.

The USB/Ethernet modem is more flexible for home computer usage i.m.o.
