Hi all.

Considering giving Rain the boot, as prices are going up, and quality of service seems to be going down.

Located in the greater Cape Town area.

It works better in some areas than others despite there being full signal, for example Rondebosch East, it works perfectly.

In Brooklyn near Milnerton, quality of service is horrendous despite having full cell phone signal.

The above is what I am dealing with this screenshot was taken in Brooklyn- it is impossible for me to work from home remotely with this situation.

Is there anything going which offers uncapped, or large amounts of data for a similar price. I consider myself a fairly large data user, and can go through at least 30gb mobile data a month, if not more. MTN's wireless broadband package seemed extremely attractive, till i found it was locked to a cell tower so can't use it on the go as I do with Rain.

Looking forward to hearing recommendations.

Thanks

How much do you pay per month, and are you able to move the router to another location?
Preferably, I would have the simcard in my cellphone.

does the uncapped package here suit your needs?
Had a look, and yes!

This looks amazing!

R497 per month, as opposed to Rain's R499, and Afrihost uses the MTN Network which means I will have coverage in most places, and not just in the big cities.

Rain is patchy outside Cape Town, with places like Pringle Bay having no rain coverage.

I have requested a Rain cancellation which will take place at the end of December.

Then will take Airmobile out early next year! don't mind being throttled down to 2mb after 100gb, as don't think I'll ever use that much over mobile, and even if I do 2mb/s for one person when he's out the house will do just fine.

2mbps is only after 200Gb, so even better.
