I've always wondered, with the amount of people using these open networks and since Samsung is giving away free data to be used on these wifi networks, how safe is ones google account details?. Is google using SSL/TLS or some form of encryption for its android apps like gmail, calendar, google+, play store etc?. When you add your google account initially, does it send this info each time these apps are used, or does it save a token on the phone?, couldnt this token be intercepted when these apps are communicating with google?
