So yesterday I was in the parking lot on my way to the office when I saw some reverse into someone else's car. The driver got out, inspected her car, looked around (to see if anyone saw her), got into her car and drove off. Luckily I was there. Took down her number plate (CF....) and stuck it on the poor guys windscreen.

Hopefully one day someone will do the same for me...
 
Was the other car damaged?

Had similar at the SA Breweries water collection point. Lady reversed into my car and was all set to drive off, but someone stepped in front of her so she had to stop. She started hooting, which made me look up to see the fellow point towards my dented fender. She was of course in a hurry, so I took a photo of her licence plate, her disc and of her, but she put her hands in front of her face

Repairs cost R18000 which I believe she paid to my insurance co after some delay

No you are not a rotten person quite the opposite

I know of a person parked his Brand new Car at his golf club, another golfer bashed the door slightly
his driver left an apology note and contact details. Owner of the damaged car took it to the dealer
they had noticed an imperfection in the door paintwork and did the full repair no charge. After contacting
errant driver he offered a bottle of Brandy as a thanks.

Its scary what some people do. The least one could do is leave their details and discuss with the owner of the other car.
And we still wonder why bad things happen to us....
 
Yip! Although I would probably have left my cell number there too.
 
A photo is worth a thousand words. Lady I described above denied everything via her lawyer who threatened to sue. Sent him the pics and he backed off smartly

Right thing to do, Mvu. Hope you added your own contact details so the owner can contact you for a statement as a witness. This will greatly aid their claim against the absconding reprobate.

Still doesn't make up for cheating on your girlfriend.

My car got bumped at meatworld Wonderboom & the sucker drove off!
Left a huge dent on the back pasenger door of my car!
 
Headlines like this that have little to do with the content of the post makes you a bad person.

I wish there were more people like you. Only an arsehole would hit somebody else's car and leave.
