Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly and repeatedly before having a ****...

Pfft - birdseye chillies. Wuss :D. Just got our first batch of bhut jolokia of the bush - though tbh they weren't that hot...not really sure why. Gonna order a few other top 10 hot chillies for next year and hopefully this one will be hotter with the next generation of fruits.

oh thats just plain stupid - like hanging your head out of a car while speeding into a tunnel

Naff is a very British word:

"naff off" - F*** off.

"that tie/shirt/etc is naff" - cheap, tawdry, unfashionable.

"a naff" - never it seen used as a noun, what's the meaning/origin?

I thought "naff" was the barking sound a little lap dog makes.

Njaff-njaff!!!

grantza, no you're not a naff. You'll be the one laughing when the rest of these okes are crapping liquid lava.

Bang on Mick, that's my understanding too.

I remember seeing years ago that the word 'naff' was invented by Ronnie Barker for the classic BBC sitcom 'Porridge' to replace real swear words. It was used initially as 'naff off' to replace f%^& off, but later was used in the other sense you mention to as an insult aimed at someones clothes.

Nerk was another word they used to replace a direct insult. They couldn't be calling someone a c%^& on BBC could they :D

Birds eye chilli is just a bit hotter than your average salad chilli so yes you're a naff
