I am 40 and if a 19 year old came up and was interested in me, do you think I would say no if I was attracted to her. Hell no..
Of course this scenario would only be if I wasn't married
Doesn't it really depend on who it is? Generally, when a 19 year old shows interest in a 40 year old there is a hidden agenda and consequences could get very very complicated.

wait until she starts continuously asking for money for this or that, starts turning up at odd hours needing stuff (generally more money for drugs), starts threatening to report you for rape, threatening to tell your family, having her dodgy pimp boyfriends turning up, getting pregnant, you getting std's, you get the idea...
(Yes, I speak from personal experience... It's one of those - if it's too good to be true - situations)

19 year olds in general would be needy and ask for money, but if he's willing to put up with that then it's cool.
Well she was 21 and she didn't enter my life as a hooker, just some girl I met through friends who showed an interest in me (which should have set off alarm bells there and then) - she was charming and funny and very sexual.
I soon realised (too late) that she was also a lying, manipulative, attention seeking junkie and yes, a hooker if that's what she had to do to get what she wanted. She was beautiful, young and nubile and she used that to the full to take advantage of 'older' men (i.e. men who had money and were happy for the attention she gave)
19 year olds in general don't show an interest in 40 year old men...
Well Pitt, Clooney, Downey Jr. and a couple of others might disagree
Also daddy issues could just work in your favour if dating a 19 y/o is your thing.

Just do it Picard. I dated a 21 year old when I was 36 it was a blast for a year. Then the gap started showing, what does one talk about to a youngster? The mind sets are tremendously different. So we parted ways and still friends 15 years later.
18 or younger legally. For pedophilia it's prepubescent children with the perpetrator 5 years older. That is just for the definition. It doesn't mean that anybody will be hurt as many recount they weren't and it doesn't mean if it's legal it's ok. Many people shouldn't have sex and children at any age.

No, but I have seen a few people go down that path.
Messing with school girls is something that just rubs people the wrong way.
When I was in matric one of my friends was banging her hockey coach, he was about 21 so not as bad as being a teacher... but when the school found out they treated it the same way, he lost all of his coaching jobs. Also he knocked up his real girlfriend and was generally a loser.
People being in a position of authority preclude the notion of it being consensual. If it was someone from another school there would have been no problem as long as other conditions are satisfied. A couch banging a pupil is wrong even if she's a granny.

I think you had a bad experience but its not inconceivable that a 19 year old would be interested in a 40 year old.
- Most 19 year old boys are absolute idiots (having being one my self) and they don't have jobs
- 19 year old boys think they are sex gods, most are not.
- There are 40 year olds who are still fit and men generally age better, they also have experience and woman like that.
- At 40 you probably have a job and a career, more cash than a 19 year old can even imagine
Its not impossible that a 19 year old girl would consider a 40 year old man a good option... weather its a good idea for either of them is another thing
