am i capped? and what's going on?

can someone fully describe to me what's situation when one got capped?
atm what happened to me is.. i automatically connected to the net through router fine, but cant access to any site nor connect to msn.
ppl had told me if one's capped, he could not even log on to the net cos telkom willl disable ur acc.

i thought it's telkom line error, it been like this when i was playing css last night. just now i checked the usage, telkom said i dl'ed 6.9gb.....
2nd day i dled 4.9 gb.... well.. unlikely for that to happen cos i am using 384k adsl.... only big thing i dl'ed this month is MVP baseball 2005 and that's only 1.5gb...
and i cheked my previous usage.. i usually got capped at 8gb+..

so am i really capped? or just telkom line error?

Yep - sounds like you're capped. If that usage is excessive it is likely someone has your account details. Better change your password asap.

If you can access telkom.co.za and no other sites, you're capped

Then, your next step is to head over to www.webafrica.co.za and buy a 1GB prepaid account for R70

Yeah. You're capped.

Just note that it doesn't matter that the "only big thing dl'ed this month is MVP baseball 2005", because what Telkom says on their mail is what they use, and *anything* over 3Gb put you on the list to be capped.

Cancel your Telkom and come over to Openweb or WebAfrica. The water's nice, and the people friendly.
