In theory, I have a 4mbit line.

In reality, I have something equivalent to a modem on a bad connection, 5 feet underwater, in the sun, getting chewed on by a trout.

Why am I paying in excess of R700 to download at 400 BYTES PER SECOND?!

Sure, I was happy when I was bumped up to 4mbit for this "trial", but had I any inclination that my line would bounce around between 400bytes to 400kilobytes, I think I might've stuck with my 1mbit, which at least was a sure thing.

*raises hand* but is it only the 4mbit'ers? no1 seems to be speaking out...

not getting 4mbps speeds...actually hasnt been such a great improvement over 512 i used to have....but hey, in the 13days of ths month ive managed to use 27gigs/30 already.....:D

4Mbps My @ss

My DSL 1024 which was "generously" upgraded to the 4 Mbps line is giving me speeds that match a standard dial-up and WORSE!

The part that bothers me: We didn't consent to being test candidates of Telkom's new service at our own expense!

This is not right!

In july when i got my ADSL i did 30gb in the first 13 days. (384Kb line)
The good-ol days when the IS news server was still working

my 4mbit is fantastic :D

why don't you guys rather complain to Telkom instead of the endless threads here?

IS during the day is useless. Do they take adsl users and limit them completely so not to affect their business users?

Iburst and Gamco speed test: 300kbps down on 4mbit...
Telkom 350kbps down.... :/

This is not a complaint thread?

The "Am I the only one" part of the topic header would cause one to believe that I am wanting to know if anyone else is having trouble with their line, and where better to do that than in a myADSL forum thread?
