:mad: Has enyone else experienced a serious drop in download speeds from Sentech??
My signal has remained the same during the last month (Approx 12%) yet my download speed has dropped from between 9-12Kbs to a measly 2.5-4Kbs. Even with DAP (which previously pushed my speed up to app 13-15Kbs) I don't get anything higher that 4Kbs.

Any one else experiencing this?:confused: Any suggestions and/or good advice??
 
My download speeds are fine, it's the browsing thats killing me. I get about 1k/sec when browsing and websites take FOREVER to load.
 
Well, since my signal disappeared completely since 28 July, I've been using my cellphone's gprs connection. Here's the thing, my gprs connection is actually faster than Sentech. My average download speeds are 12 - 15KBps without using any download managers. Using Telkom's speedtest I get 77-79Kbps browsing speeds.
On the down side, I'm still paying Sentech for a contract while I don't receive any signal from them...nice
 
On the 256k package I normally have ip of 196.37.xxx.xxx or 196.34.xxxx.xxx now I'm only connecting with 196.31.xxx.xxx and same problems as above
 
256k users doing a traceroute this morning should see a bit of a different path being take for their traffic ;)
 
jeez i can't believe how they say wireless broadband but then you get succy speeds like that
