Am I wrong? Telkom contract wording

Signed up for a SmartPlan 100 package as per Telkom promo specifically to get the 1GB extra data.
I signed up at a Telkom branch on a sim only (no handset) and confirmed that I would receive the 1GB data every month.

A few days and weeks later, I still did not see my extra 1GB data and, after a few attempts to find out why, I was told that this promo is only if I take a device as well :erm:

Looking at the promo wording below, it states "is available as a per minute billing plan with or without a handset"

Am I wrong here?

SmartPlan 100 package is available as a per minute billing plan with or without a handset and includes All-Network (all-net) voice minutes, All-Network data, unlimited Telkom Mobile to Telkom Mobile calls (for the first 12 months), the 5 for 50 SMSs promotion and Free Unlimited Wi-Fi access.
Includes:
Inclusive all-net voice minutes: 100
Unlimited Telkom Mobile to Telkom Mobile calls (for the first 12 months)
Inclusive all-network data: 150MB
Inclusive SMSs: 5 for 50 SMS promotion
Additional All-Network Data: 1GB
 
IMO you are right. Threaten CPA. They must cancel the contract at no fee or give you your Gig as promised.
 
Update: I reported the ad to the Advertising Standards Authority and the ruling was in my favour.
Telkom have given me the additional gig "as a gesture of goodwill" and changed the wording on their plan to "(available with a device only).
Only took 4 months :)
