AmazeGPS for Blackberry

For you guys who don't have voice guided turn by turn GPS on your Blackberries check out AmazeGPS at wap.amazegps.com.

Its a free download and after my limited experience so far I would say the maps are on par with BB maps, possibly better because it shows important landmarks. The voice guidance is pretty good and what I love is being able to overlay satellite photos with roadmaps like on google maps. The maps are way better than google's maps here in South Africa.

It does use a lot of data but on my Blackberry Bold I have got it using BIS so there are no data charges. Check it out. Its definately one of the best free apps I have found.

Quite good, doesn't include the name of the street I live on though (neither does garmin) yet BB Maps does - odd don't you think (my street has been around for over 40 years with the same name).

Vodafone SATNAV is free on the BB and has voice activated prompts. How would you compare the two?

Yes on Vodacom BBs you get Vodaphone Satnav but I'm with MTN so as far as I know this is the only free voice guided GPS I can use.

NAV4ALL is also a freebie on the BB. Got voice guiding in Afrikaans
