they are installing my dad's adsl on tuesday

its taken 1 week and one 1 so 8 days

just thought i would praise them for that

the telkom man said the reason things take so long in some area's is there is no infrastruture(doubt thats spelf correct before someone points it out)

in randburg the infrastruture is really good he said

I placed my order online on monday, they phoned the next and said they'll need to test the ports first and i must phone them back on tues to find out how it went.....

So i'm hoping i'm insanely lucky for some or other reason and it doesn't take to long..... ya right!

Fastest ADSL install was whe we moved into our first house in Parklands Cape Town. The day we moved in there was a business card attached to the door for Telkom installations in the area so we called it, went to the local Telkom office and filled in the forms. The very next day they installed the service.

That about 1 day in total.

Yea - the previous occupant had ADSL - teklom charged you 404 for doing nothing.

Mine was 4 days... I was shocked too
