Does anyone have a Amazon with built in temperature sensor (ie 4th gen Dot) and an Amazon Show with widgets ?

I'm wondering whether you could have a widget on the Show to display the room temperature in real time, but it seems the query is quite niche and I haven't too much on Google

I have a dot 4.but had no idea it has a temperature sensor? Where/how do you get the temp?

I don’t have one - I just read that it does.

Unless the larger Echo 4th generation does and not the Dot, and it’s only got the sensor in the Dot 5th generation.

I actually need to check and may have saved myself buying a new device

It may only be 4th gen Echo and 5th gen Dot :(

That 2nd link is English on my phone - or translate behind the scenes.

But seems I need a 5th generation now

But the Echo Dot of the fifth generation has additional sensors. This includes a temperature sensor, which will be able to give you the temperature of the room the Echo Dot is in - mirroring the functionality of some of the larger Echo units. But the temperature sensor can also be connected to Alexa Routines , so that it can act independently, for example turning on the fan if the room reaches a certain temperature or turning off the heat.

ah right.
I have room temperatures anyway, from my tado setup

Where can you see the temperature ?

I think it would be great to have one the Echo devices with a sensor in (for example) a baby room , and display the room temperature on the Show next to my bed. Also, pretty neat to have it integrate it into the routines to switch on a fan or something

I can see it home assistant, or I can ask alexa for the temperature in a particular room
