If your relatives are willing to post, that's the cheapest option - they need to write something arbitrary on the packaging slip so that it doesn't look like a "gift", otherwise it may be picked up by sticky fingers, particularly around this time of year!
My sister sent me a few items (SSD Drive and Camera lens) from the UK and marked them as "broken hardware" - got here not problems and there wer no import charges either...

The camera lens weighed about that and from what I remember, it was about GBP 5 or 6
