Hi

I'm curious here about buying something online, there are 2 books I want to buy from Amazon.com Both are less than 50% the cost I would pay on Kalahari.net

Problem is that I can't send my money to them because they don't support Moneybookers which is all that I use.

I want to ask what you guys think about this dilemma I am in? Surely there are alot of others who would love to buy things online but lack credit card facilities to actually make the purchase?

Why don't someone create an online import program, where people deposit money into a moderator of myBroadBand's account, and he purchases the item from overseas.

The moderators could earn a fee for their trouble. Moderators here are trustworthy so I wouldn't think twice about doing business like that.

What do you think about this idea? Could work for computers and other prepherial hardware, not only books/music.

Have you tried loot.co.za? they usually only slightly more expensive than amazon once you factor in the delivery charges and are much cheaper than kalahari.net.

Amazon does deliver to SA again but cost is quite high:

Either $6.99 + $6.99 per item for slow delivery (up to 30 days then it sits at customs)
Or $13.99 + $6.99 per item for faster delivery (10-15 business days if memory serves)

In your case (two books) you looking at $21-28 (R157-210) just for delivery, in most cases Loot then becomes okay-ish, i.e. only a few bob more, and then you can pay by EFT

problem with loot.co.za is that they don't have both of the books I'm looking for(neither does kalahari.net I see but you were right loot was about 25Rand cheaper than kalahari).

go www.take2.co.za

then via More USA or More UK, else if you lucky you can get it via a market seller on amazon.com, there is always amazon.uk

take2.co.za was just as expensive as loot.co.za

no suprise eh

this is south africa after all

well im waiting to get paid lol so i can try the amazon market place.
