Today I received this email from Amazon.com.
"Dear Amazon.com Customer,
As someone who has shown an interest in consumer electronics, you probably know that GPS are the hottest item this year, and TomTom is the world's top-selling automotive GPS--with good reason. TomTom's GO and ONE navigators have a sleek form factor, superb map data from TeleAtlas, an easy-to-use interface, and innovative technologies. "
Anyhow it advertises Amazon's $100 rebate on the TomTom range of products. Amazon has sent the email to me, using my email address,
the same one which is registered with them since 1999, which I regularly
use to make purchases there. They know very well that I'm not a domestic
US customer yet they advertise stuff I cannot buy from their site.
Obviously their database skills are not too good, have they not been outsourcing enough IT people from India or maybe their SA operation is not so good.
