How effective is this device in South Africa?
I have a Samsung Smart TV with (smarthub) and would like to acquire this Fire Stick
 
Have you had a look at the Xiaomi Mi Box? You can purchase this currently on Aliexpress for $69-99 or $64-99 (including free shipping to SA) if you purchase it using the Aliexpress mobile app (new registrations get one $2 and one $5 discount coupon). This is the same version that Walmart sells in the US for $69 which supports Netflix, Hulu, YouTube at HD resolutions up to 4K as well as Kodi, Google Cast/Chromecast compatibility etc. and includes a voice enabled Bluetooth remote. There are many reviews inside the Feedback tab on the Aliexpress link below and also on YouTube or the XMB product page at Walmart.com.
