Amazon & Importers Code

Hi All,

I have obtained an SARS Importers Code and would like to find out if it possible to substitute my regular SA ID number with my Importers Code. The field for ID under addresses in Amazon will only allow a 13 digit ID number and not my 8 digit Importers code. Does one leave your ID and wait for the Importers code demand after your 3 import or is there some way to preempt this by updating your profile with the correct and mandatory Importers Code?

Anyone been able to solve this?

Just use your ID number. If there's a problem I'm sure the relevant party will contact you.

Leave your ID number on Amazon, your courier will contact you. If aramax they will email you a form where you enter your details so they can submit it to customs, UPS/DHL will call you for your details and you can give them the code over the phone
