So this morning I tried subscribing again after yesterday's article about Amazon South Africa and low and behold it redirected me to amazon.com.au and I could subscribe without a bother about VPN or payment method. Don't know whether it was a glitch or something but I'm chuffed and got a 3 Month trial period on top!

Yes! Cannot not have YT premium any more. Annoying ads are annoying. For music streaming, I choose Spotify, though.

I have both (family premium), but because of the damn podcasts on Spotify spoiling my music listening (visually), I'm now back exclusively in YTM.

The family moved over to Spotify, so it's still going.

No, simply it being there irritate me. I don't listen to podcasts, but I remember it prominently displayed above the music playlists and recommendations.
Then I have to scroll about a full screen to get past it to get to the music.

YTM swipe gestures is another reason I prefer it. In Spotify you need to select everything, can't swipe it.

Spotify works quite nicely for driving in the car. I know there's a setting on Youtube that lets you turn off video when not on wifi, so I guess I could give it a shot.

I just had a look at Spotify again. No podcasts. And when I select the podcast filter, it's only a few shows with 1 (probably latest) episode. Nice.

Only music on the home screen.

But, I'm fully in YTM now.
