Has anyone ever bought a phone from Amazon South Africa? How was the experience with them, is the phone legit and can work it in Sa, etc? They good some good deals from what I saw.

Takealot got some brands abit cheaper but provides some devices from other countries, which doesn't work here locally.

Post some links to these good deals because I haven't seen any

Ahh, ok
Do you know any good websites where I can buy phones prepaid? Buying prepaid is so much better in my opinion. I wanted to buy some like Vodacom, Cell C, etc but they come with their own bloatware. Looking for a unlocked device

2x Samsung A35's. Delivery in 2 days. Sealed phones all 100%.

Also have done over 15 other orders from the "Today's Deals" page.

Currently testing their customer support over a box of missing A4 paper DPD Laser couriers have dropped the ball. I have been updated twice today alone and they've promised another update early next week at which time, if the paper hasn't arrived, they'll give me the option of a reship or refund.

Just as good as Takealot, if not better.

Try Carbonite or FB marketplace if you can stomach all the scammers and dodgy foreign dudes selling what must be stolen phones.

I imported two phones from Amazon USA, worked for years. The thing is, you need to read the phone specs to understand if it will work in South Africa.

Yes

Order from amazon.co.za and it will more than likely work

Bought a Galaxy A35 from Amazon on Black Friday, placed my order at 1 in the morning, received it the same day around 14:49

Placed multiple orders for other things with them since then and if they say next day delivery, I will get it the next day

I also had to deal with support the other day because I messed up something on my end, support is absolutely brilliant and 100x better than anything I've received from Takealot

Back to the phone for a second, when I bought the phone, Samsung South Africa was running a promotion that if you bought a Galaxy A35 or A55, you would qualify for a free gift being either Galaxy Buds or the Galaxy Fit Watch
I had to send Samsung South Africa a bunch of information regarding my purchase as well as device details such as serial number and IMEI
They approved my gift so obviously the phone passed whatever verification checks they had in place1743191846650.png

I've had to return a phone to Amazon before because the listing had a South African model no, but the seller sent me a grey import from the UAE region.

So always check seller ratings and on their profile you can often find additional reviews for the seller. Learned my lesson.
Luckily Amazon refunded me no issues even though I had played with the phone for a while before I noticed something wasn't right.

But that would be an Amazon problem so I don’t see the issue?
Seller on Amazon, same as Takealot. Amazon here is pretty much the same as takealot with, sellers being full of ....

Would still end up being Amazon’s problem if they don’t play along.

Only for a year, not for the full 2 year period of Samsung, also you'd not be able to get any discounts or gifts from Samsung if the device is supposed to have them.
