Hi Guys

Anyone know where the ambient (outside) temperature sensor is on a 2003 Polo? On my way home it indicated 40 degrees, think it's stuffed :( Hopefully I can get a replacement and install it myself.

Google your own question, "position of ambient temperature sensor on a 2003 Polo" and be surprised what you get. Behind the front bumper.

I did Google before I posted. I was hoping somebody has already been through the process. I could not locate it since some reports say it should be visible through the grille.

If you are in traffic the temp outside does get that hot, I've had it read 53 degrees in really bad bumper to bumper.

I'll keep an eye on it. This morning the temp was fine again

Yea also when the tar has been really baked by the sun its going to abnormally heat the air above it and so you will get a really high reading.
