Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get this processor?

Many Thanks,
Syzygy

PS> Also, does anyone know where I can get the latest AM2 5200+ 65nm 2.7ghz processor?

its the AM2 5000+ Black Edition. It has a nice unlocked multiplier :D

as for the 5200+, there is a newer G2 stepping version of the CPU. its not based on 90nm but on the 65nm process and is clocked at 2.7ghz and not 2.6ghz :p

thanks for looking :)

No, 2.6ghz to 3.3ghz. At that speed it beats an E6550 at stock.

You should thank those that support and buy AMD cpus. Else you would be paying R4000 for an E2140, and R15000 for your Q6600.

Besides, this CPU is NOT for a gaming PC. Its to play around and have fun with :)

Ye ur thinkin of the 6400+ killadoob. This is the 5000+, and I didn't do anything other than read a review. Unlocked Multi, 65nm, only needed .1v extra to get to 3.3GHz.
So any board with option to change multi and a tiny extra bit of voltage to the core can get similar results.

It's an excellent value chip for an upgrade on AM2.

It totally could be a rad gaming system if you chucked in a decent card..

Overseas pricing: 130.00 USD = 886.979 ZAR
