AMD 9950 Cooler

I am looking for a after market cooler for my Phenom 9950 for about R500 what would you recomend.

Yeah, Hyper TX2 is the bomb. Got one on my E8600

Artic Freezer Pro is a little better, but a bit more expensive, a Zalman 9500 is also good.

Ya the 9700 is a little bigger & better than the 9500. The Hyper TX2 is nice. Put one on my mates Q6600 the other day

Went back on my 720 tricore deal and decided the E8600 was better. Sold and paid for without putting in extra cash so worked out OK.

Yeah I hear you, last company I worked for shutdown and I bought 6 quad core machines with 19" LCD's, 4GB ram, 250GB disks for 3k each. Also bought a E6550 server with Intel RAID card and 19" screen for 2k.

I got really lucky but had to find a new job

Before the 9300 was a Q6700 which got flogged as well.

Dude, the budget is like R500. i mean the v8 is like R800 dude. and imo the hyper z600 is like way better then the v8 when kitted with 2x high cfm fans dude
