AMD A9 Vs ICore3

I need some help here.I have a budget of around R7k and there are two laptops in my range Acer Aspire 3 Icore 3-1005G1 processor with 8 gigs and a Asus 15 M509BA AMD9 8 Gig but it has a 256g SSD.

The net and people are incredible connection are not much help.No gaming will be done, maybe some editing of YouTube clips, streaming, movie watching and school homework.

I have never owned a AMD processor so I am a little bit concerned in reliability and speed.Any advice on which direction I should be aiming for?

This is true. I will go for a Ryzen 3 over and Core i3. The graphics power of the Ryzen 3 just makes it better all round processor.

Not to mention the SSD. That laptop with an SSD will be faster than most laptops without one.

Hands down the AMD. SSD + 8GB RAM (Upgradeable with one RAM slot) AND Radeon Graphics will definitely help with light editing. Great machine for the price.
