AMD core types

Since mccrack brought up the Intel socket type question p), I thought I'd ask about AMD cores.

Venice, Clawhammer etc. How do I know the diff between the cores? On the CPU? How do I know which core is better?

So from this I figured out that I have a desktop CPU ( duh ), it's socket 939 lidded with variable voltage and temperature and has 512kb L2 cache.
Here's where my problem comes in. Unless I seriously misread the chip for core type it's BW.

Must have misread it. Could be BN which would nice. I'll make sure tonight.
