Hi There All

I've got an AMD 3000+ Socket 939 CPU + Heatsink & Fan 4 Sale

@ R500

I also have a Gainward Golden Sample GeForce 6600GT 128Mb 128Bit AGPx8 VGA Card 4 Sale (In Box + Manuals,Warranty,Games,Drivers,Cables etc.)

@ R900

Both are in excellent Condition
I'm in Brackenfell CapeTown

DarkWater, don't u think those prices are a bit steep??

Since even retail shops ask R950 for a brand new 3200+ Sock 939 CPU (Lanworld in Goodwood)

Also, many shops ask around R1000 for Geforce 6600GT 256mb now.
I mean 6800XT are around R1300 now.

Ok true I understand your point....but since they sell the 3200+ for R950 then i guess R500 aint bad for my 3000+...

then what concerns the graphics card....u did not mention if those cards where pcie...which are cheaper than the agp versions...

then also keep the brand of the card in mind...the one i have for sale is indeed a Gainward (which are really expensive) i do aswell offer a 2 year warranty on it and the card is also the Golden Sample version....the card was bought about 6 months ago and cost R2200... so I guess R900 aint that bad

But unfortuanatley for yuou the price of that card decreased alot latley, like with all computer hardware.

R900 isnt a ver ygood price these days, and you rip yourself off buying a golden smaple, really. You will get 1-3 more fps, hardly noticeable and pay about R500 extra for that..

The CPU price is okay, maby it could be R400 to make it a good deal.

Darkwater your prices are fine dude. So what if AMD reduced prices and you can get a new 6600 for R1K. Yours is still R900.
Some people want bargain bin prices and worst of all all the people who tell you you're charging to much wouldn't buy the stuff even if it was half the price.

Those are fair prices for some good hardware.

The problem is that if you charge too much then people will just skip through it and not give it another thought. If you charge too little then you'll just rip yourself off. The trick is getting a price that's only a slight bit higher than what a buyer would like to buy it for. That way the buyer will either be happy to pay the price or he will try and push down he price a slight bit. This way both parties are happy with the sale.

Another sad thing is that you can never expect to get close to what you paid for it when you sell it again. So depending on how old the product is, look at the current selling price and make it cheaper than that. Don't go find the most expensive online shop to judge prices on either.

You have to remember that most people online are well aware of what hardware costs and a lot either have accounts at suppliers or have friends with accounts. So if you overcharge no one's gonna buy it anyway.

So for best results, charge a slight bit more than you think is fair and wait a week or two. Then lower the prices a bit to what you want and see if anyone is then interested, etc. You should also advertise whet your selling on a wide range of forums, there might be people who are interested there.

Ive advertised on 4 different forums for my 6600gt pci-x and still isnt sold :(

Well sometimes You have to take more of a knock than you'd want.
I sold a 6600GT PCI-e a week after I had bought it for R1,770 for R900. And that was Feb 2005! But it did sell within the day...

CPU price is fine, 6600GT will really be hard to sell. Simply becoz newer better cards are out for around that price ... Try to sell it within a pc.

shock g the way think is strange lol

his price may be his price but we are telling him he wont sell for that price
dont tell someone that there price is there price because it aint true

the buyers price is the sellers price :) or he can keep his goods haha

i sold my 6600gt agp for 600 wanted 900 for it but that was never going to happen

your cpu price is good though
