FFS i bought my X2 3800 for R2800 about 2 months back... Now the X2 4800 is that price :(.

EDIT: I must say that i am loving my X2 3800+ and R1499 is the bargain of the century if you ask me...

luckily Intel > AMD :) coreduo for the informed!

Intel's Core 2 Extreme & Core 2 Duo: The Empire Strikes Back
http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2795

We've all been waiting for this day, the day Intel lifts the last remaining curtain on the chip that is designed to re-take the performance crown from AMD, to return Intel to its days of glory.

ASUS M2N32-SLi Deluxe M/B AM2 looks good to me - but retails at R2400 or so

Oh, you're going AM2. Yeah, the motherboards are still a bit on the expensive side. If yo can wait a bit it might be best.

If I had to buy now, I'd go with the ASUS. But then, I'm a total ASUS fanboy.

I know Cyberdyne used to order from AMD direct once a week so theirs will be up to date I assume.

+/- R1400 is currently the correct price for the 3800+ Dual Core

Mystery solved, computersonly.co.za downloadable pricelist still got the old prices on, checked their website version now, sure Cyberdyne will follow suit, but they only update their pricelist once a month

Yeah, spoke to the guys at computersonly yesterday when the site wasn't updated yet. They said that it would be done today. It's nice to see a promise being held for a change. :)

I asked about stock on the 4200+ X2 and they said it'll be available next week. Now all I need to do is get rid of my 10 day old 3800+

will be around R1500, its a great CPU and a step in the right direction for Intel. I wonder what their new budget cpu's are going to be like
