Hi all
So my new AMD build is running along merrily...well not quietly since I added some coolermaster SP120 fans connected directly to the PSU.
I am however picking up some very strange temperatures on the CPU. It would show 11-15 Celsius at idle, sometimes even below that, which is impossible due to the ambient temp being about 20 Celsius.
The motherboard(asrock 990FX extreme3) seems to give more accurate temps, but after a while of gaming, sometimes, the cpu temp on the Asrock Extreme tuning utility would show -2 Celsius, and a motherboard temp of -3.
Has anyone else experienced this? I did an update to the latest BIOS, and the -2 has not shown face yet, but it is too soon to tell. The CPU readings in hwmonitor and coretemp are still very low.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an offset required on these chips to get the correct temps? Regardless of this, the AXTU behaviour of negative numbers are still very odd
