Have you ever heard of a CPU that stopped working under normal conditions... other than human error?

Veg go read up on the heat issues from amd laptops.
pffft reading is for sissies:sick:
Anyhow yeah yeah i know they run a little hot but its not the end of the world. AMD had laptop use in mind when they deceided to make cpu's for it. So under normal well ventilated use it wont just die.

No but should it not be well ventilated it may turn off because it is getting hot where as an intel laptop would keep going.

So it won't die but it will switch off due to the heat.

I have never come across heating problems on any of the AMD laptops i have sold. I currently have a HP dv6000 series with an dualcore AMD Turion, no problems.

dd1313 to answer your question the AMD does technically run a bit hotter but no it wont just fail, cpu's dont just die (or i've never seen it). You should have no problems with it under normal use. If you like it dont worry about the 1 or 2 degrees difference in temp.
