Does anybody have an AMD Phenom CPU running in a machine somewhere? If so what is your opinion of the CPU's performance?

I'm interested in the 9500 or the 9600 not the 3 core ones.

get it man if it fits in your budget buy it

not as good as the intel q6600 or 9300 but still a good cpu

i know a guy who has one but he is an amd die hard fanboi and only buys amd

for the price though i think the amd quadcores are very good

I'm running one in my 2nd machine and it works brilliantly. Processing power is super and it runs all app's flawlessly. I can't comment on the Q6600/9300's cause I've never used either of them. Personally, I think it's good value for money and it runs brilliantly.

On a side note: To extract the most of them, you need to run it on a mobo running a ATI 790/7** chipset with 1066Mhz DDR ram.

stealth could u run some benchies with 3dmark and pm me the cpu score plz :)

i miss amd cpu's would love to try amd again soon cause im bored of intel :)

Killadoob: I'm running Server 2003 on it ATM, off hand I don't know if 3dmark/pcmark will work on that platform. Can you perhaps help me with that one?

I checked out the prices of the AMD quad and they are very competitively priced. I see AMD is fighting Intel on price ... as was expected.
