AMD Phenom Processor

Hi Guys my pc was struck by lightning a few weeks ago and the insurance company contractor put a Phenom II 560 X2 Instead of at least Phenom II 955 X4 in place of my Phenom 9950 X4 and they said the 560 is better then the 9950 but when i checked the benchmarks on the 560 it was way off compared to the 9950(@ www.cpubenchmark.net).Guys what u think i should do i sent the pc back to the contractor they said i must phone the on Monday and the delivered the pc with 2GB Ram short

Phone the insurance company and demand a cash pay out.

Never accept what a contractor to an insurance company says. Demand a cash pay out from your insurance and do your homework. Google.com is a wonderful tool to ensure you don't get screwed.

Perhaps it is not too late to get the cash pay out and get a nice new sandy bridge computer .

Why do you need them back? If there is info on them demand they let you have access to the info.

Hdd's are dirt cheap, not sure how much the pay out or what is involved though. Sounds to me like you are dealing with a company who is trying to screw you or get rid of old stock and thought you were perhaps an easy target. It can only go further downhill from here if you ask me.

MrMocs: please note that you cannot really compare the performance of the Dual Core and Quad Core CPU directly like they're doing at that PassMark site!
Of course the Quad Core CPU would have a much higher score, but it doesn't necessarily imply that the framerate in the games or other applications would perform better.

Unfortunately that comparison doesn't include game framerates

The X4 945 would've been much better than the X2 560. Overall the quad cores are more future proof.
