AMD reveals launch date for new Threadripper 2 CPUs

AMD has announced that its second-generation Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX and 2920X processors will be available from 29 October 2018, AnandTech reports.

The Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX boasts 24 physical cores with 48 threads and is aimed at high-end workstations, while the less powerful Ryzen Threadripper 2920X is more suited for high-end consumer builds, with 12 physical cores and 24 threads.

I hope Dynamic Local Mode is all it's hyped to be, as it should mean a decent boost in games by diverting the workload to the cores that have direct memory access

Maybe I should do that. A 5000w heater will draw a lot less power.
