AMD slashes Radeon HD7990 price

It always takes a while to filter through here. But its probably a precursor to the 9000 series.
 
Goodness me, what is with this 13k BS, when i bought my 6990 it was 6 inc vat from esquire. Amazed to see they are basically colluding with nvidia in a sense. Making their product which is better just slightly cheaper. Nvidia must have been on top when i bought my 6990 :D. Anyways for 7 that is bargain, my 6990 as long as it doesn't break should last me another year or so, so 3 and half a years for 6k isn't bad i reckon. Better than upgrading cards that total the same amount eventually.

Yea but for us it's tough due to the rand but a 7970 is roughly 300-350 dollars times 2 = 300 or 400 dollars less than the 7990, so why would people buy it? You can probably get 3 7970's for the price of that 7990 when it was 1100 dollars. So people buying that card are just silly for that price.
