So ive been browsing around a bit and found this game, but after 4 gig of download, a hour of training.. guess what, SGS server has no players on it... so does any1 still play this game?? it has pretty good graphics and is 100% free on steam. the gameplay is very nice (tactical shooter, involving the use of tactics and grenades :D) Also, does anyone want to try it out then maybe? :P just search americas army 3 on steam and download it....

Hopefully see some1 in game!

Edit: oh and maybe people do still play, but you guys know what the server IP is?

I've played AA2, but stopped due to a lack of time. :-(

I think WAGE made a server for it also. Check that out if you want.

Used to play AA2 a lot. When AA3 was first released it was a disaster with all the problems and just about the death of AA. Not many people play anymore which is a shame. I should download the latest patches and try again. Was online a few months ago and the SA servers were empty :(

Yea why dont we restart AA3 here in SA? :D have nothing to lose... due to uncapped :D and its 100% free! :D il start a steam group and send who-ever a invite. Oh and i hear the game improved alot (due to a 1gig patch). anyone intrested?

Almost done downloading. Will finish it up late tonight and ill check it out tomorrow.

AA2 was a great online game & I played it for years, but they killed it with the release of AA3. :(

The new version is still very buggy even with all the patches since release

Here are some sites related to the game, but I must also say that most of the players have moved on to BFBC2 after finding AA3 not fun anymore

I think the following server still have players every now & then : 196.2.128.112:8777

;)

Once in a while I'll start-up AA2 & have some fun on the international servers :p

AA3 had tones of players at the release! it died after patch 1.4 as the sound is horrible till today! You get reload issues wrong weapon layouts and its so buggy you cant even have a clan match as the rounds are uneven and random when drawn(hard to explain)!

We have all moved on and will wait till one day when the devs think about the community who supported them over the years... as iv been a AA player since 2006. Its been almost half a year since the last patch and nothing has changed, no news on any further patches either. Anyways good luck

Dude, the army fired all the devs the day the game was released so don't hold your breath.

One day after the launch the civilian developers team contracted until game release were dismissed. Responsibility for future development of the game was passed on to another office at Redstone Arsenal.[25][26]

Also having played this game for a couple of years in fact that is why our clan was started this game is now as dead as a dodo. I know there were some AA2 servers still going which was basically the same game minus the glitches. But saying that I have just launched an update again on steam for this to update so lets see if anything has been fixed so far.

Yes, AA3 had huge potential. Communities around the world waited with much anticipation for its release. The gameplay was a step up certainly from its predecessor, teamwork was actually rewarded. But as mentioned by Looter, twas buggy like ... like ... er Windows! LOL, I remember the beginning of each round was always to the sound of HOOAH!

Btw, I'm pretty sure that AA2 is still kicking, check in with the RPG clan / server.
