Does anyone else play this locally?

My friend does play on international servers, but now he knows about the local ones. I want to start playing too but if i download it i will get capped...ill have to wait till the end of the month[V]

check out http://games.saix.net

if I remember correclty they play it there. I used to play it a while back. Moved onto Wolf: ET now. Maybe you should check this out as well. Same Site

Yup, saw that on games.saix - I can't seem to find servers with an under .5 second ping though... which is disappointing.

Anywhere in America's Army simply hit the ~ key. It will bring up console.

Type:

connect 196.25.69.209

They list it incorrectly on the server list page...

This is a brilliant game! Enjoy!

Oh, by the way, if you want the game I will give the full game to you on DVD or CD's if you bring me an empty DVD or couple of CD's. Totally legal and free!

Or you can use ALL SEEING EYE. Nice progie to view servers on line and connect trough it. You can download it from saix.

The only problem with this util is that it kinda cripples itself if you dont pay...

My All Seeying Eye doesnt pick up the AAO Server I from Saix anymore. It dissapeared from the list. Ag well, back to the console commands.

Is there a local server where i can download americas army. Im capped at the moment.

I am pretty pissed off with it at the moment cos last month i downloaded americas army off the ausgamers site. It got 95% and it went to 0.0kb's a sec. SO i paused it. When i resumed it was gone. And the partially downloaded file turned to error404.php. Very strange cos thats never happened to me before.

Then i decided I may aswell try again cos i really wanted the game. So i downloaded it again. It finished. Except the file didnt work. I tried opening it in winRAR. The files are all there but it says "Unexpected end of Archive".

This really pissed me off cos now i wasted 1.3gigs.

Sweet. exactly what i needed thanks, and they have Wolfenstein: enemy territory as well, i was looking for a local place to get that too.

They are both going at decent speeds.

OK i have them both now. I'm begining to think it must be a problem with my pc. As soon as i run the setup for americas army my computer hangs for like 3 minutes, and then goes back to normal.

Both games work okay here. Maybe clear out your Temp folder and try again?
