I play any of the 5. Mainly only the old 2.8.0 maps... The new maps lag to much on my laptop :( Need a nice desktop now

Anyways how many of you guys playing this great game did the update and are playing on the new maps???

I joined a gamerszone server with some guys from the 69th Battalion.
I enjoy playing these maps very addictive. I am almost up to level 15 now.
Only cr@p thing is can only play weekend on a uncapped account, don't want to finish my cap during the week. I sometimes play during the week, but not that much. Gives me time to finish some single player games. HeHeHe...

Anyway let me know what U guys think about the new maps.

I play old and new. Mainly Old :o

You'll get to know the guys as the loyal players are always online.

Played it the first time on ver. 2.1 about 2 years ago. I only had dial-up so did not play it allot. Only completed training and played a handfull of matches.

In December I got 24/7 connection so I downloaded v. 2.8 and started playing it again. Still a noob, but learning quickly. I only play on the local servers on week-ends when I get time.
 
I'm a total noob. Got the game months back, but couldn't play - faulty motherboard. Just upgraded last weekend, so I'll get the training done soon enough, and join you all. Sounds like fun. :D
 
Help needed

Hi guys,

I hope I am not out of line by asking for tech support here. But here goes in any way.

I have a Internet connection on a laptop connected to my lan connected to my desktop. I am using Internet connection sharing on XP. I can log in on the Personnel Jacket page, all my details display and so on. But as soon as I finish my first training excercise, I am unable to save my mission results. Complaining about not being able to find the internet connection.

I tried opening ports and stuff, but to no avail. Any ideas?

Hi there JJF

I had the same problem a few months back, but the bad news is that i cant remember how i solved it.........:confused:

But since i installed the AA 2.8.0 that came with the NAG CD about 2 issues ago, and then downloaded and installed the 2.8.1 patch (380Mb or something) it worked fine, without any problems....

Try that, only thing that could maybe help u.... dont worri about ports, as that is not needed!

Does anyone know where I can find a DVD with v2.8 on? Seems like I'll have to try that, but I don't have the bandwidth to download another 2.5GB.

Americas Army 2.8.0 is on the February edition of NAG...

So maybe try and get the Feb NAG at a friend or something, cause i dont know where u will be able to buy it now!!!

Check some of your friends if they don't have old copies of NAG about 2 months back. Check at NAG website and send them a e-mail. Maybe try and get a copy from them.


Where do you stay?? Can maybe post you a copy... PM me:cool:

Hey JJF

I maybe have a solution for your problem....

Log into you americas army account on the official website, www.americasarmy.com

Then just minimize your browser, and try saving your personal jacket or what ever youre trying to do!!

I had a similar problem just now, i could not log into my account in the game... So i did that and VOILA, it worked!!

So try it and let me know..

I'll probably be on... Mainly UA though. Or any old maps ;) I love Bridge and Pipeline ! They're the best maps on AA. Only got the hang of Urban Assault the other day so it's rater fun too.... By far the most played map on the South African servers.

O u and LeeHarveyOswald started about the same time. He's also from MYADSL :p
