America's new supercomputer which simulates nuclear war

One wonders what they would actually be simulating. Is it a military strategy thing, or the actual physics and environmental effects of multiple nuclear detonations? I mean, surely you don't need a supercomputer to tell you global thermonuclear war is a rather bad idea?

I din't think Fallout 76 was that heavy on system requirements

I think a bunch of strategies and economical impacts are programmed into the system including the effects of such. Think of it as a 3 body problem with more variables. Prediction models can be extremely complicating and that's why we resort to computers.

Came into the thread to post Wargames references. You guys make me so happy.
