PC network put a freeze on their residential installation until the end of the year. Have a look at sprintnet.

Just spoke to PC Network. They say that they focus mainly on business but the guy was not at all sure about any freeze on residential installation. Sprintnet installation fees are very high as well.

I was at amobia for a year, and i am going back to them! They are great, and i experience only great customer service.

Never had any issues with the internet itself. awesome speeds! was on a 5mb uncapped package.

I received an email regarding the freeze this morning after logging a request on their site, from David van Rensburg.
I believe he's their MD.

According to Sprintnet, the higher installation costs is due to the equipment having a higher capacity than what their network currently supports. They're looking at a future upgrade that will enable 20mb and higher on their network, I'm not certain on the technicalities of this, will inquire further if LOS is confirmed and before signing up.

I can only imagine that if it's the truth, the increased speeds will cost quite a bit more.

I just want their 2mb package though, so having 20mb ready equipment isn't necessary. I'll also ask whether I can source my own equipment based on their requirements, or be issued with equipment that isn't enabled for their upgrade.

Im using Sonic Wireless 2mb uncapped for 2 weeks now and it works well so far. Its stable and speeds are consistant.

I have the NanoBridge M5 set up with Sprintnet. If your tower supports it, we can chat because I have stopped my service and end of this month will be my last month.

For the record, I have been very happy with their service can speed ( 4Mbps uncapped ) , but I'm moving over to Telkom LTE.

Why on earth move from direct connection to an open connection with no contention at all?

Because of speed and the promotion I got when they launched here with included free data.

The 45Mbps link is like a drug. I strongly doubt it will ever get as low as 4Mbps in any case. This is used in my home office environment.
