Its sort of an off topic thread but it arose on the news.
SABC Afrikaans news had as a news inset that Zuma thanked the foreign dignitaries I started typing the text that appeared at the start of the insert but was a bit slow on the draw - was still laughing from when I heard it being said. So close and yet so far from a perfect news headline President Zuma bedank
- for readers without a knowledge of Afrikaans the word bedank is used both as a term for resign and for issuing thanks.
