One gadget I still use 9 years after Apple stopped making it

Apple’s iPod Shuffle is a fantastic piece of technology which remains as useful today as it was when it was launched in 2005.

Apple launched the first iPod in October 2001, with the late chief executive Steve Jobs using the iconic marketing slogan, “1,000 songs in your pocket”.

I still use mine as well. This was the best product Apple ever made.

Simple and does it's job.

2GB Shuffle made me realise you don't need more than 160kbps AAC. @Dolby

Well everyone knows that Apples 160kbps = 1,411kbps in any other device … so you had some pretty high end audio there!

I was on a flight this long weekend and thought to myself I miss that damn thing - I lost it on a flight a few years back, maybe should see how the second hand market looks.

On the 7 September 2016, Apple said that going forward, there shall be no more cables because wireless is better. I'm sure they even displayed a marketing slide but @Smiggles follows the marketing & would know more
