I bought one of these at R1,499.00 - EZVIZ IP 1080 camera (https://www.takealot.com/ezviz-2mp-outdoor-wifi-bullet-30m-4mm/PLID42125192)

But I see the analogue cameras are better priced (https://www.takealot.com/ezviz-1080p-bullet-poe-camera-for-dvr-kit/PLID42125213) - with PoE and a 3m power cord.

Surely an analogue camera on a DVR does everything mine does anyway?
Maybe better to buy analogue cameras and connect them to a DVR?
IP cameras are also cheap but the one you bought is a Smart Camera, your camera can also be controlled via a Google Assistant device according to ezviz website

Thanks guys - I'll read up on the Alexa/Mini and take advantage.

The other thing I realised is that analogue aren't WiFi (the one I linked to anyhow) - so each camera needs to be wired to the DVR?

Both those cameras are IP.

What gives it away, ethernet (is in PoE) means IP.

If you are not using the BNC connectors, but RJ45 network connectors or wifi, it's IP

I don't know what you think analogue vs IP means, but I'm think you're wrong.
