EOH asset sales analysed

EOH generated around R2 billion from selling many of its prime businesses. However, it also lost R9 billion in revenue generation from those businesses and R8.4 billion in net assets.

To understand the selling spree, one must turn back the clock to 2018, when the company was facing significant challenges.
 
At present, EOH is engaged in a significant restructuring process, which includes implementing retrenchments. As a result, employees are being required to utilize their annual leave, and there will be no bonuses or salary increases for the foreseeable future.

The company's workforce has been reduced from approximately 12,000 to around 4,000 in recent months, with additional business units being sold or closed.

The organization is actively working to "right-size" itself to ensure that income surpasses expenses. This endeavor represents a challenging adjustment aimed at achieving financial stability.

We hope that these measures will be effective and timely in addressing the current situation.
 
Just another state capture beneficiary that will get away with it. How all these companies are still even allowed to exist is beyond me. They should all be blacklisted and banned. Hope their decline continues.

A lot of the board directors stepped down, and would guess most employees that were implicated were removed.
Rest of the company after cleaning house should be allowed to continue to operate, not sure why you'd be against that.

Have any of those people been sent to jail? Have any of them even faced trial? Should we just forgive and forget companies who stole our tax money?

Look if you want to forgive state capture because you think eoh have made up for it that's up to you. I assume you'll apply that standard to all other beneficiaries as well.

You seem to want eoh to succeed for whatever reason. They stole our money and I hope they crash and burn with all the others.
