"Asked whether there had been mistakes during his presidency, Mr Mbeki replied: "The disadvantage I have is that nobody says that. Nobody in the ANC stands up and says: you are doing the wrong things.""

Umm.. So what about the ones that were relieved from their posts because they were not part of the collective?

"I've heard this, and I don't understand it. Do I look as if I've got horns? It's said that I block and inhibit open discussion - that's puzzling to me, it's completely untrue."

Hell whats the occasion? Everyone wants to become clean before Christmas? First there is suddenly crime, Then The Eskom admittance now this? Maybe it will at least last to the year 2008 (why does it sound so far away) as in the new year all these resolutions will falter again as per usual!

What an idiot. Thabo, you've had your time in the sun, now get out.

Before Mbeki was elected everyone feared that he could be too racist.

So pure speculation. Maybe he was and then when he discovered politics he saw he cannot do as he pleases. So he is walking around with a gag order from his advisors who at the same time fear to say what they want to knowing he won't agree.

It was sad to me at the rugby to see that the British players just ignored his presence. Those who did shake his hand did so halfheartedly. Then again they did lose. But even some of the SA people that were present didn't give him much attention.

If it was Mandiba who was there everybody would have gone wild. Even today.

I personnaly don't think you can ever compare the response of the players if Madiba was there against there response to Mbeki... ;)

Actually i picked up on that. In that ceremony thing i must say he didn't really get much response from anyone really, even the other representatives kept to themselves for a bit. It was crappy to be honest.
