...just got me thinking: ok, so its fairly obvious that opposition votes are more or less symbolic in nature (apart from municipalities - as in: Western Cape = DA or whatever hodge podge alliances are currently intact) but when it comes to the position of President maybe it would be more democratic (I know how ridiculous it sounds I mean either its democratic or its not, we know the story though) to allow voting for an individual, USA style.
I for one would be tempted to cast a vote Sexwales way in the knowledge that there is zero chance of any party other that the ANC coming to power, at least you could still influence what happens within that party.
