DA lays charge against ANCYL FS chairperson

The DA laid a hate speech complaint against ANCYL Free State chairman Thebe Meeko on Tuesday over comments he reportedly made about University of the Free State vice chancellor Jonathan Jansen, the party said.

"They are such fundamentally egregious and shocking statements that we are responding to - asking for the death of somebody," said DA MP Wilmot James.

The complaint, laid at the Cape Town Magistrate's Court, also includes harassment.

The Times reported that Meeko said Jansen should be "shot and killed because he is a racist".

"Like President Jacob Zuma when he said the police must meet fire with fire [referring to police shooting armed criminals], the shoot-to-kill approach must also apply to all the racists, including Jansen - because he is a racist," The Times reported.

It's frightening how the ANC YL sounds more and more like the Hitler Youth every day! This is hate speech through and through:

"Mr Jansen wishes to be a White person", "Mr Jansen is equally a criminal" and "We agree with the president of the ANC to shoot and kill criminals".

This has to stop, the ANC must put their foot down because these b*****ds are inciting race hatred and fear in this country.

Everything the ANC of Mandela and Sisulu fought so hard fought is being forgotten and destroyed by these racist bigots!

"While we appreciate the Mandela-esque nature of Jansen's gesture, this is not 1994 and anyone that continues to display a baas-mentality in this day and age must be punished ruthlessly using every channel open to us," said Limberg.

Fortunately now we have the recording and can hear exactly what Meeko said. Which was that Jansen is a criminal and the president of the ANC says criminals must be shot.

Also, he continued to speak about Whites in a derogatory sense, which makes him a racist and guilty of hate speech.

That's the thing hey...what's going to happen when these guys come into power, many people are saying that will never happen.

Using this logic 80% of SA blacks must then be shot and killed. They're all pots calling the kettle black. Why is okay to discriminate against non blacks?

I saw an interview with Jonanthan Jansen on ENews a few months ago and I was impressed by him. Considering the legion of loony ideologues paraded on that channel Mr Jansen seemed a rational realist
