Members of the ANC Youth League must stop discussing their personal views in the media, the league's national task team (NTT) said on Friday.

"We are alarmed at this foreign tendency of decentralised commentary on organisational issues... when the national leadership has taken a posture to limit its engagement with the media during the rebuilding process," the NTT said in a statement.

"In this regard, we call upon all members of the youth league to stop parading their views in the media and allow organisational processes to take precedence."

It said if the "tendency" continued, it would discipline members.

"We are focusing on elections work to ensure decisive victory for the ANC. Any divergent views will not assist but undermine progress we are making," it said.

"The NTT is not a group of ancestors; it will pronounce itself on its decisions at an appropriate time."

The NTT said its visits to provincial and regional branches were "helpful".

"We discourage membership from writing in their personal capacities, but still stating their associations with the league, as those views are mostly attributed to our structures and the mother body."

I've noticed a tendency for the ANC to use the word tendency a lot.

Why does he ANC have a youth league. The ANC cares nothing for the youth of South Africa other than making sure they are dumb. The league members are old, from a life expectancy perspective, well over middle aged.

Which is the point. The ANC wants voting fodder. Irrespective of age.

They don't care that the youth are unemployed. There is a massive thing being made about matric. It means nothing. Compared to the rest of the world it sucks. We have people coming out of university that are useless. And those that are useful can't find a job.

3 vacancies in the high court in Pietermaritzburg where the application form is a single page form got 2 of those boxes that photocopy paper comes in. What's that? 4000 applications?

What message does the government send? Breed. We need your vote. Change school policy to make teen pregnancy easier.

There are plenty of forum items that think itch scratching is acceptable. It isn't. Yeah, it will still happen but the consequence should be on everyone's mind. Your think the poor have it bad. We haven't had real poverty yet. Rampant breeding is taking us that way.

There are too many people for far too few jobs. There are far too many inept tossers blocking progress.

We have had 3 ANC governments (4 if you include that Motlante crap) that have been progressively worse for the country. It is so bad that we are seeing anarchy. Early signs of a failed state. Winter is coming.

The tomorrows under apartheid were far better than any tomorrow under the ANC. At least back then people had something to look forward to. Today? Nothing. Freedom is here but it still leaves your stomach empty.
