Durban - A group of people has invaded private land in Hilton outside Pietermaritzburg, claiming it belongs to ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema, according to a report on Monday.

Land owner Rusty Roodt told The Witness newspaper he would approach the high court in Pietermaritzburg on Monday to obtain a court order to stop people from invading his land.

He said the police had done nothing to stop the land invasion at Winterskloof in Hilton.

One of the land invaders reportedly said: "We are continuing what we started when we marched on Thursday and Friday to reclaim what is ours," in reference to an economic freedom march from Johannesburg to Pretoria led by Malema.

Why wait for the Police, we have to show that we won't sit down and take it like they did in Zim. Shoot the fk'rs. If they enter my land I will shoot them. How can you not fear for your life if 30 odd people storm your land? So a self-defense should hold up in court. If not, at least I go to jail for protecting my land and showing I won't give up without a fight.

You will spend the rest of your life in prison, your family will lose a bread winner, and the land will still be invaded anyway. :(

If they ignore it for 3 months the squatters has a right to squat. So they ignore the requests and then make it the muni's problem, and then the muni does nothing for years and you sit with people claiming you stole the land from them.
 
The police arn't doing anything because they want the land owners to prove they own the land first :sick:

A sign of things to come... I wonder how it works if you have a bond on the place... because then they stealing the banks property :p

This is definitely not on, the ANCYL national office must issue a strong statement condemning this. Expropriation without compensation will only happen after the constitution is amended to allow for land to be taken without pay as Malema has said. For that to occur the ANC must secure a 2/3 majority and that will not occur because the DA is becoming more powerful. These people who have invaded land are just opportunists and criminals and must be arrested for illegally occupying land.

All of you who are saying that those invaders must be short are not thinking, you are being emotional and that will only make things worse. Ok, you shoot the f**kers, you get arrested and you go to court. Malema attends those court proceedings and outside the court he speaks to his supporters and says that white people are killing our people and blah blah blah. His supporters have more ammunition to occupying land now, don't you see? Use your heads guys, don't think with emotion, think with your heads. Ofcourse those land invaders must be brought to book, but shooting them is just plain silly.

If everyone in SA stand together and show it will not be tolerated then it won't happen. Sit back it will happen ;)

They should shoot them, with rubber bullets if they need to. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the ANCYL is nothing but a terrorist organisation that needs to be banned. They are lazy, useless, stupid ungrateful b@stids who dont realize their beloved malema is living the high life at their expense.

Are you willing to be the guinea pig and leave your family without a bread winner?
Your insurance and retirement policies will be canceled, your family will lose their house, and they will be out on the street.
They will blame you for being a cowboy and they will just add to the burden of people in SA living on handouts.
Meanwhile you will contract AIDS in prison and be dead within ten years.

I like the idea of shooting with Rubber bullets, as well as turning it into a snake farm...
