Durban - Statements by a provincial African National Congress Youth League structure announcing that President Jacob Zuma's former wife Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma should succeed him drew a swift rebuke from the party on Friday.
In a statement, KwaZulu-Natal ANC provincial spokesman Ndumiseni Ntuli said that discussions over Zuma's succession had not been opened. Ntuli said: “The ANC NEC has not opened a discussion on the next leadership of the organisation. We therefore call upon the ANCYL not to start a premature leadership process until the ANC NEC officially opens that process.”
